Milwaukee was able to get one back against Chicago this afternoon off the bat of Brice Turang. He had a 2-run homerun that put the Brewers up 2-nil in the top of the 2nd inning, and the Crew never looked back after that. They notched a pair of runs in the 8th as well courtesy of Isaac Collins. He pushed his RBI total to 41 on the year with a 2-RBI single.
Brice Turang's homerun was his 13th of the season, which is what he had total in the previous 2 seasons combined. His current batting average is .284 which puts him at 4th on the team.
After today's win, the Brewers look to carry this bit of momentum into the weekend series against the San Francisco Giants. It will be a homestand with some added intrigue to game 3; that being a celebration for the legend, Bob Uecker. This series also marks the return of Willy Adames, but adorning new colors; orange and black. This should be a fun matchup with the Brewers still sitting atop the MLB standings and the Giants are trying to climb their way up to a Wildcard spot.
Catch game 1 of the series Friday at 7:10 PM CDT.
